Susan

She is attractive, in a skinny way. Her hair puts people in mind of a dandelion clock on the point of telling the time: it is pure white, apart from a black streak, and it's preferred shape is a sort of Medusa's-snakes style.... She has the ability to make herself so inconspicuous as to be invisible to non-magical minds.

Susan Sto Helit, to give her her full name, is the daughter of Mort and Ysabell and therefore Granddaughter to Death. Susan has inherited certain things from Death but how this has come about is a mystery as Ysabell was only adopted by Death. Susan is a student at the Quirm College for Young Ladies. At school she is something of an outcast and associates herself with other outsiders such as dwarfs and trolls. Susan tends to go unnoticed a lot of the time (she can make herself invisible after all) and keeps out of trouble. This is however at times ruined by the fact that her Grandfather tends to neglect his job (this is usually due to his strange need to understand humans and to try very hard to forget things usually by drinking vast amounts of alcohol). When this happens Susan is called upon to take over the role of Death. This she does well, apart from the fact she doesn't like the job and becomes emotionally involved with her "clients"
